The open ocean is the safest place to be for ships located near a tsunami area. Most coastal areas have tsunami warnings which should give the captain time to move the ship away from the coast if it were docked.

Storylines’ plan is to continue operating through any pandemic. Should that become impossible due to governing laws, the ship’s liability insurance may cover some of the ship’s expenses, reducing the amount due by residents.

A specially engineered bilge keel system helps reduce vessel motion by up to 40% while at anchor, while an advanced fin stabilization system can decrease roll motion by up to 85% when underway in rough conditions.
