The lifeboats will be a type known as Tender Lifeboats. They are designed as a tender boat and are also certified as a lifeboat (see examples). They can have a capacity between 100 and 250 passengers depending on the size chosen. Storylines will own these tenders.
Our Zodiacs will be utilized for excursions, sports and limited tendering use. Anything launched from the marina’s garage will be smaller by necessity (such as Zodiacs). The tender lifeboats are more suitable for tendering larger numbers of people to shore in a reasonable timeframe. They have been evaluated for speed, comfort, practicality, ease of use, size, volume and operational specifications and have been deemed to be the most suitable for our purposes.
