3.5 -4 mo is the ‘break even’ point for you being on board. Renting it out the rest of the time would cover the annual assessment fees.

If my friends rent their own unit, would this be another resident’s unit? 

Yes. They get a discount of about 18% off the regular rental rate.

Could my home be rented out to someone else’s guests, for shorter periods than the general minimum 3 months requirement? 

Yes, family or friends of Storylines residents can rent other residents’ units for less than three months.

For guests who are not friends/family, rental periods must be a minimum of three months or longer to preserve continuity and community on board.

Do rental guests get the full suite of “all-inclusive” amenities?

Yes, renters get full access to all the features and amenities covered by the inclusive fee.

Storylines rental prices are advised by cruise agencies. World cruises and those over two months sell-out over a year in advance, combined with the unique slower pace of Storylines’ cruising averaging 3 days in each port with many overnight stays, and Storylines’ unique residential community style, ensure strong demand, and will earn our residents the highest possible return on investment.

For those interested in renting aboard MV Narrative, please know that there is a three-month minimum stay unless you have a friend or family member aboard the ship. Availability and pricing will be available 12 months prior to sailing. You can register your interest and we will keep you informed when that information is available.

Storylines handles all rental activity on your behalf. The Storylines team markets your residence’s availability within our network, as well as through the travel agent community and online cruise resellers. 

To ensure that the onboard community is not affected by a change in passengers, we have set certain criteria and safeguards in place. As an example, you may not rent out your residence on Airbnb and there is a 3-month minimum stay for guests unknown to you. 

Family and personal friends may stay for as little or as long as they would like.

You are most welcome to refer renters for your home while you are away. Please direct them to your Residential Advisor, and we will take it from there on your behalf.

Renters are liable for damages. Should the need occur, Storylines will arrange for any repairs needed and pursue the renter for costs incurred.

Rental fees less applicable management fees are credited to your account directly. Details of this and your total financial position with Storylines will be available to you via our APP 24/7.
