What Items are Not Allowed onboard?
Are HAM radios allowed onboard?
We have discussed this possibility with Lloyds Register and the Bahamas authority. They have indicated that there are many emergency frequencies in constant use at sea so these should be avoided. Therefore, Storylines’ policy is that no HAM radios/amateur radio equipment is permitted on board.
Are candles and incense — or any other steady open flames — allowed on board?
No. There are no open flames on the ship.
Are firearms and guns allowed onboard?
Items that could interfere with the safe operation of the ship or the safe and secure environment of our residents and crew are prohibited. From a legal standpoint, guns are prohibited on board by law under the flag state (i.e. Bahamas) that govern the maritime law onboard the ship. Having a gun onboard is a serious offense as the ship is considered an extension territory of the flag State. In addition, we will be visiting more than 100 countries, many of which prohibit firearms in coastal waters (within 24 miles of land).

Will you have a cannabis dispensary on board?
Non-prescribed controlled substances, medically prescribed and synthetic marijuana and CBD products are not allowed on board.
Although we believe medical cannabis is a core part of healthcare, current international regulations and Maritime Law regulating life at sea do not allow for any of the myriad products on the market that now contain cannabis.
Even when the possession of cannabis is legal in some U.S. states, it remains illegal under U.S. federal laws. The U.S. Coast Guard enforces federal law, which overrides state laws. Federal law does not recognize an exception to allow cannabis for medicinal purposes.
Worldwide, it is illegal to transport cannabis and products containing cannabis – including edible cannabis, cannabis extracts and cannabis topicals – across international borders.
